Not to be confused with posters, these are painted recreations/reproductions of the highest quality and are family authorized limited edition giclees. The giclee is used as an under-painting to obtain the accuracy of the original. It is then painted in the jewel-like colors of the original, after which it is varnished several times.

The only landscapes it is possible to compare with his, are those of Van Gogh, yet Van Gogh's heavy separated brush strokes express his despair, while Klimt's direction was altogether different .He got behind the naturalistic form and probed to the essence of nature. Through this, his landscapes seem even to surpass those of Whistler or Monet in their sensitivity. Using the square format with the high (or no) horizon line, Klimt created landscapes that depict nature as an ideal image of harmony and equillibrium to invite meditation on the timeless beauty of the scene.
